Arjuna is an excellent cardio tonic herb ,Arjuna bark is rich in minerals like magnesium, zinc, calcium, copper. It strengthens cardiac muscle and normalizes heartbeat (tachycardia).

The key ingredients in Arjuna Phenolic Compounds – terminic acid and arjunolic acid and Glycosides: arjunetin and arjunosides I–IV impart the cardio protective role by restoring the depleted endogenous myocardial antioxidants and improving myocardial function.

Arjuna Bark strengthens the heart and myocardium, significantly lowers increased cholesterol levels and improves blood circulation to the heart tissue, and improves its strength to pump the blood. COQ10 in Arjuna supports the heart’s energy output, and enhances overall energy levels, stamina, immunity, and boosts antioxidant levels.

Arjex granules are derived from Arjuna Kshira Pak. Arjuna is Kashaya Rasa, Laghu, Ruksha in attributes, Shita Virya and Katu Vipaka. By Prabhava, Arjuna is Hridya. by Kashaya Rasa, Ruksha, Laghu properties Arjuna is Kaphanashaka and by Shita attribute it is Pittanashaka. Arjuna has Gamitva to Meda, Rakta, Asthi, Shukra Dhatu and Mutra. Arjuna is effective in debility of Hridaya, Meha and Vrana. Due to Kashaya, Ruksha attributes of Arjuna, It tends to vitiate Vata with Shita- Laghu- Ruksha attributes.

To counterbalance this unwanted response, it is advised to consume Arjuna in the form of Kshirapaka. Mridu, Bahal and Snigdha attributes of milk counterbalances the unwanted attributes of Arjuna and makes the Arjuna Kshirapaka a best remedy for heart disease.
